24 inch Best IPS Monitor Under 200 USD
This is a great size for gaming as well as for work. Most multiple monitor setups also utilize this screen size. The benefit here is that you can find excellent features at an affordable price tag.
1. Dell S2418H – Best Casual Monitor
If that is case, you can find IPS monitors well under the $200 range.
We highly recommend Dell S2418H because it is an all rounder monitor in all sense. There is no sub category that this monitor does not cover.
You may definitely call this the jack of all trades – albeit it is master of none.
For starters it is the only monitor with 12 W speakers built in. These are some of the loudest built in speakers that you can find in the market.
Secondly, if you are into casual gaming, it also has AMD FreeSync and a decently fast response time. You will need an AMD graphics card in order to utilize this feature though.
Thirdly, if you are into casual editing and designing, this monitor covers 99% of sRGB color space. This color space is essential for digital artists as well as content creators.
Furthermore, it offers HDR10. Photographers would understand the significance of this feature. This basically enhances the color space so that you have a lot of color at your disposal.
Besides that, this monitor looks elegant. With a small and functional base, it has a fairly small footprint. Therefore, it can be great for your office.
The only relative drawback of this otherwise excellent monitor is that it does not offer VESA mounting holes. As such you cannot mount this on dedicated monitor arms or on the wall.
I would say this is the only all rounder monitor in the market that deserves attention. It is perhaps for these reasons that this display has won Amazon’s Choice award.
2. Acer Nitro VG240Y bmiix – Best IPS Gaming Monitor Under 200
If you are looking for the only truest and best IPS gaming monitor under 200, you will not be disappointed by this piece. This monitor combines some of the features that no other monitor does at the moment.
For starters this is a 24 inch monitor with FHD resolution. So it is quite average in terms of its size.
Where it truly shines is in the fact that it boasts 1 ms response time. You should know that 1 ms response time on an IPS monitors was unheard of previously.
Although the native response time of the monitor is higher, Acer combines its Visual Response Boost (VRB) technology to lower the response time all the way to 1 ms.
In addition to that, this monitor offers AMD FreeSync technology, 75Hz refresh as well as speaker built in. Furthermore, for a monitor of this price and specs, Acer has still managed to carve out a great design for it.
This monitor looks like a gaming monitor from every corner and angle.
Unfortunately, this monitor does not offer a fast refresh rate. It has become a standard for most gaming monitor to feature 144 Hz refresh rate. However, if you want that, you will need to sacrifice on your demand for IPS panel. You will need to settle for TN or VA panel monitors like the AOC C24G1.

3. ViewSonic VP2458 – Best IPS Monitor Under 200 for Professionals
You should note first that a monitor with color enhancing features like 100% sRGB color space, and precision of Delta E < 2 are generally quite expensive. Therefore, to find one in this price range is quite a bargain.
This monitor fits that criteria exactly. This is a 24 inch monitor that is best suited for photographers, professionals, content creators, or for anyone who appreciates colors.
Also, being a comprehensive monitor, it not only features multiple connectivity options but also an ergonomic stand for adjustability.
As far as gaming is concerned, this monitor isn’t really marketed as such. However, you would most certainly enjoy the crisp and clear color and uniformity when gaming. This may not be a monitor for tournaments due to its slow 7 ms response time, it could be offer eye candy level colors for casual gaming.

27 inch Variants
This is a highly comfortable screen size. You can comfortably use this from both distance as well as close up.
The only issue with 27 inch IPS monitors with price of under $200 is that none offer WQHD resolution. They all offer FHD. Therefore, you get the same pixel space as the 24 inch monitors.
Nevertheless, their comfort factor cannot be understated.
4. AOC 27V2H – Slim Bezel and Feature Rich
It is elegant and has a small footprint. There is absolutely no reason why you should not keep this monitor under consideration.
This monitor is the continuation of AOCs commitment to providing gorgeous screens at a very reasonable price point.
A frameless design like this complements any living space.
As far as the features are concerned, this monitor probably has the best performance/dollar value in this list. It offers a 27 inch FHD screen along with 75 Hz refresh rate, AMD Freesync as well as a decent 75 Hz refresh rate.
As such, this monitor is great for casual gaming as well as for casual work. Designers and photographers would find this lacking.
Thus, this monitor is excellent for gaming as well as for productivity. It is not, however, suitable for professional designing and editing work.
Unfortunately, this monitor is a bit lacking in terms of its connectivity options. It only manages to fit a single VGA and a single HDMI port. We would at least have expected dual HDMI for a monitor of this size.
5. BenQ GW2780 – Best Office Monitor
It is much lower than the $200 range and offers a decent 27 inch IPS panel.
For starters, it has a beautifully crafted design. From its base to ultra slim bezels and to the etching resistant scratch free material, this monitor is built for neat people.
On top of that this monitor offers cable management system on its back that allows for a clean work space.
Also if you spend long overs working, then the Low Blue Light and Flick Free technology should help with eye strain. Another great eye care feature that this monitor harbors is the Brightness Intelligence Technology.
This acts like a sensor that actively adjusts the brightness of the screen depending upon the ambient light.
No one likes to carry their stereo speakers to the office, for that reasons, this monitor also offers built in speakers.
Furthermore, this monitor also offers VESA mounting holes in case you want to setup a multiple monitor setup. With all this said, this could well be the best IPS monitor under 200 for office use.
32 inch Variants
You would either love this size or hate it. There is no in between. The 32 inch monitors at this price range only manage to offer FHD resolution. This is a fairly low pixel density for monitor of this size.
However, the form factor of this monitor enables many research and typing work to be carried out comfortably. Not to mention, this monitor can also be great for casual entertainment.
6. LG 32MA70HY-P – 32 inch Beast

This is the closest you will get to a TV experience. If you want a TV experience but with the quality of a monitor, then this is the best IPS monitor under 200 USD.
This is a 32 inch FHD monitor whose largest selling point besides its size is the multiple inputs as well as the screen split option.
Screen split is a feature which, as the name implies, splits your screen into multiple quadrants depending upon the configuration you choose. Thus making this monitor quite useful for multitasking.
Note if you are not familiar with screen size vs resolution you should read up on that.
The bottom line is that larger screen does not mean larger resolution. Since this is an FHD monitor, you will have the same amount of pixels as in any FHD monitor be it 24 inch or even 22 inch FHD monitor.
Nevertheless, for comfortable gaming and work, this is a great monitor to look into.
