The Intel Core i7-8750H processor is more than capable of handling multiple tasks at once. You can browse on chrome, download games and stream all at once without breaking a sweat. Its 512GB SSD and 1TB 7200-RPM SATA HDD barrel their way through stunning imagery in no time.

Even the back contains the power jack, a mini display port, and an HDMI slot, along with a USB Type-C slot. You’ll find plenty of connectivity in the GT63.

The GT63 Titan’s webcam is excellent in handling and delivering clear feedback to viewers. You’ll have no problem streaming or attending meetings with a clear, well-contrasted image of your face and surroundings.

Out of the box, you’ll feel the MSI GT63 Titan 8RG’s strength. Weighing 6.7 pounds, it’s not one you’ll want to carry around frequently. Because of this, it can feel a bit daunting to carry around at the risk of damaging it.  It feels sturdy and well-designed once you get it up and running. 

The keyboard is a real winner here; its RGB backlit keys are colorful and bring real individuality. There are buttons for the fans and power and a small, hidden speaker. It’s well designed from the inside. Unfortunately, it’s brought down by its touchpad - off the bat, it works fine, but handling Windows gestures, it tends to fall. Simply moving a page down with two fingers can cause it to stop—a real disappointment in an otherwise stunning laptop.  

You’ll have no trouble with the high-quality graphics, capable of 1080p and up to 60 FPS, perfect if you’re moving into next-gen gaming. Even with low-end games, the graphics and image quality are clear and without fault. Whether you’re gearing up for Call of Duty Vanguard or relaxing on your Stardew Valley farm, you won’t have any issues with the display. 

Even with its subwoofer, bass feedback is low and isn’t choppy or muffled. It’s a real strong element in its hardware.  

You aren’t short on connectivity either; the Titan features 5 USB slots, HDMI, Mini DisplayPort, headphone and microphone jacks, and line out and line in slots. Including an ethernet cable too, you can choose between its e2400GB ethernet controller or its wireless-AC 1550 WLAN adaptor. Either choice will bring you a seamless internet connection.  

One of its major problems is the battery life. On battery alone, you’re likely to get about 2 hours 48 minutes of heavy use. For a laptop at this price, it’s disappointing to see it fall below the 3:32 average for high-end gaming laptops. It’s better to leave plugged in while gaming on this machine but would work well with everyday tasks.  

Starting at $2,199 and extending all the way to around $3000, it's not a cheap investment. For those who play fast-paced and heavy games, this laptop suits you well. For such a steep price, you can expect a well-oiled machine. Disappointingly, the warranty extends to only a year, but you could expect up to 3-5 years of heavy use from it.  

For those with lower-end gaming needs or looking for a work computer, this may not be the one for you. Its high price may be too much if you’re not using it for its gaming capabilities. But if you’re a gamer or a Twitch streamer, the GT63 Titan is a worthy investment for your needs. 

Comparing With Other Laptops (Is The GT63 Titan 8RG Good?) 

MSI GT63 Titan 8RG Vs GP66 Leopard  

If you’re looking for more security, the MSI GT63 has Windows 10 Pro, which is better than the Windows 10 with the G66 Leopard. But that’s one of the few drawbacks. The price starts at $2599, which makes it slightly cheaper than the GT66 Titan. However, this does mean losing a few USB ports and slower processing speeds. You also won’t get the same RGB backlit keyboard, but this is down to personal preference.  

MSI GT63 Titan 8RG Vs. GS66 Stealth 

Off the bat, the GS66 Stealth weighs much less than the GT63 Titan 8RG, making it easier to carry around. The display size remains the same, but the GS66 Stealth is much thinner. While the prices of both laptops are similar, the GT63 is the better model. It has a more impressive graphics card and 16GB RAM compared to the GS66's 8GB. On the other hand, the GS66 has more SSD storage, at 1000GB, instead of the GT63's 512GB SSD.  

MSI GT63 Titan 8RG Vs. Acer Predator Helios 300   

MSI falls down on processing speed in comparison to the Predator Helios 300. It uses Intel Core i7-11800H, which is leaps above the GT63 Titan’s processor. But the GT63 Titan wins on graphics quality, using a higher GeForce GTX model. The price of the Predator Helios 300 is cheaper, at $1498 starting price, but you will notice the difference, as it won't display images as clearly. In addition, the Predator is thinner, lighter, and easier to carry, leaving the GT63 Titan falling behind.

With an asking price of just under $3,000, you can expect some monumental features that will only enhance your gameplay. The MSI GT63 Titan 8RG is worth its high asking price, providing you with in-depth graphics and high-quality sound. If you can get past its chunky design and potentially live without Windows gestures on the touchpad, this laptop is a worthy investment for any PC gamer out there.
